tumbler - black and white tuscan pitcher + flying birds + ancient vessels + tower + cypress + house

This cup is from a series of extra-detailed black and white tumblers inspired by nature, archeology, and travel.

Painted with black and white underglaze, the interior is a soft celadon blue, and the exterior is unglazed, polished porcelain. It feels a bit like a weathered stone--the porcelain is vitrified (sealed)  and it will not stain.

Approximately 4 x 4 x 4 inches it holds just about 14+ ounces.

(or, 10 x10 x 10 cm, and +400ml)

Each tumbler is thrown on the potters wheel.

You may wash them by hand or in the dishwasher.  If you drink a lot of tea, like I do, the inside will stain over time--but this is easily removed with an abrasive scrubbing (I use those dark green scouring pads commonly found in the grocery store--we call them "green scrubbies").
